The month-long charity campaign 'Share Your Blessings' launched by Mercato mall, in cooperation with Emirates Red Crescent and Toys With Wings received coverage from UAE-based newspaper, Emarat Al Youm. The article detailed the launch of the campaign, as well as the different ways that individuals are able to contribute to the initiative. On the matter of donating, founder of Toys With Wings, Mouna ElHaimoud, spoke of the importance of donating in order to show the younger generation the importance of giving, and views the Mercato Charity Campaign as an opportunity to do that.

UAE Newspaper "Al Bayan" Talks About The Launch of 'Share Your Blessings' Mercato Campaign in Ramadan

UAE-based Newspaper, Al Bayan, details the launch of the Mercato Mall Charity Campaign 'Share You Blessings'. The Campaign was scheduled for the whole month of Ramadan in partnership with Emirates Red Crescent and Toys With Wings. Al Bayan also detailed the support of The Toy Store, which offered free gift-wrapping for toys that were to be donated in the designated areas.

"Al Ghad TV" Interviews Founder Mouna ElHaimoud on the Name, the logo and the Inspiration Behind the Initiative

Journalist Abdullah Al-Zaabi, from Al Ghad TV, interviewed Founder Mouna ElHaimoud on her inspiration to kick-start the initiative that happened whilst on a media trip to refugee camp in Jordan where she saw that amongst other things, the children lacked toys. The interview took place during the Mercato mall charity campaign 'Share Your Blessings'. a month long campaign that embraced the spirit of giving during Ramadan. ElHaimoud also spoke of why she named the initiative Toys With Wings, the motive behind the logo and the first refugee camp that the initiative donated toys to.

Founder Mouna ElHaimoud Participates at 'Sharjah Government Communication Forum' to Talk About the Role of New Media in Serving Humanitarian Causes

Toys With Wings Founder, Mouna ElHaimoud, participated at the Sharjah Government Communication Forum 2018, moderating a panel discussion hosted by the Sharjah Press Club in collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

The discussion titled ‘The Role of New Media in Serving Humanitarian Causes’, hosted guests such as UNHCR Spokesperson Mohammed Abu Asaker, journalist Zeina Yazagi, Businesswoman & Social media influencer Adwa Al Dakheel, and Al Arabiya journalist Wissam Keyrouz.
The panel highlighted the wide outreach of 21st century media and how it can aid in serving humanitarian issues. ElHaimoud talked about how Toys With Wings uses social media to get a wider exposure and reach more volunteers and supporters around the world.

UAE Based Newspaper, The National detailed the ‘Share a Bear’ school challenge, a campaign supported by Novo Cinemas, Emirates Red Crescent and Toys With Wings. The campaign aims to provide toys to children in-need around the world by encouraging UAE schools to donate bears.

The initiative was launched on the occasion of the Paddington 2 movie screening at Novo Cinemas.

Dubai Police Honors Toys With Wings for the Initiatives' Ongoing Effort to Spread Happiness to Children

Toys With Wings was honored by the Dubai Police, the award was a tribute to Founder Mouna ElHaimoud’s ongoing efforts to spread happiness amongst children in-need and for providing an initiative that allows people to donate toys and contribute towards a good cause.

The ceremony took place in Dubai in cooperation with Al Tareq Rehabilitation & Autism Center.

Al Sharqiya TV Attends a Volunteering Day with us in Dubai

Journalist Hazem Jouhar from Al Sharqiya TV covered a day of volunteering with Toys With Wings at the ELC warehouse, in association with the UAE Red Crescent. During the report, the Founder of Toys With Wings, Mouna ElHaimoud, speaks of the role that the Year of Giving in the UAE, launched by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has played in attracting more volunteers to participate in charity work in the country. The report highlights the process that the volunteers follow at Toys With Wings, from dispersing the toys to packing them before distributing them to children in need.

Our Collaboration With the Spanish Charity Campaign 'Un Juguete Una Ilusion' in Jordan

Toys With Wings distributed 4000 new toys donated by the Spanish charity campaign ‘Un Jugete Una Ilusion’. In partnership with Spanish journalist, Manuel Romero, photographer, Miguel Angel Fernandez, the Spanish Embassy in Jordan, Father Carlos, the director of the Latin Patriarchate School in Marka, and Syrian NGO, Souriyat Across Borders.

‘Un Jugete Una Ilusion’ campaign was created by 'Crecer Jugando' foundation and the Spanish National Radio of Spain. The toys collected by the campaign were distributed to Palestinian refugees in Jarash, Syrian refugees at a school in Mafraq, in additon to two orphan centers in Marka and Abu Nusair.

UAE Newspaper "Al Bayan" Writes about our Fun Gathering with Children from UAE Red Crescent

Journalist Ebada Ibrahim from UAE newspaper Al Bayan spent a day with founder Mouna ElHaimoud and 33 children from UAE Red Crescent, as part of their Ramadan initiative 'A Day For Good' which is in line with UAE Year Of Giving, that aims to encourage the community and private sector to make a difference in the lives of others through charity activities and volunteerism.
